👉 What Really Are Biomes?

A biome is a large geographic biotic area characterized by its vegetation, soil, climate and wildlife. Majorly, its a community of flora and fauna that have similar and akin traits for the environment they exist in. Biomes are also called as 'Major Life Zone'  due to a very significant reason of being the planet's major scaffolding and providing the human race with innumerable benefits however unfortunately for materialistic developments mankind is polluting such exquisite and mystic ecology of Earth. i) Certain biomes such as the forest are home to some of the most diverse communities of flora and fauna as well as it has the most hidden potential natural medicines including many undiscovered species. You may never know that a cure for the Corona Virus-19 might be lying in the forest. They are also known as the climate-balancers. With the incessant deforestation, the global climate would only worsen.

ii) Freshwater biomes supply us with our drinking water and water for crop irrigation. The world's oceans have a greater effect on global climate more than forests. Moreover, these oceans have photosynthetic plankton which account for most of the photosynthesis occuring on earth.
