Ecology  When we come to one of the major departments of science, that is ecology, we bring every object which is biotic, in question. Scientifically, ecology is a department of biology that involves the study of relationships between living organisms including humans and their environment. It also seeks to observe the vital connections between plants and animals and the world around them. It has a crucial role in our lives- it helps us to understand the world around us in a better way. The major goal of ecology is the distribution of biotic and abiotic factors of living organisms in the environment. Biotic factors are the living components of an ecosystem such as the microorganisms, humans, plants, etc. , whereas abiotic factors are the non-living physical and chemical components of the ecosystem like sunlight, air, moisture soil, etc. Importance of Ecology  Ecology holds great significance in every humans’ life while being on earth. It’s contribution to this planet includes: ...

Tundra, Tundra, Tundra!!!   Come on, Scientists! Let's Research About The Tundra biomeπŸ‘‰ Tundrabiome

The Types of Biomes  We have already understood the basic foundation and purpose of a biome. Now, let's come to its classifications, that include five of kind: i) Aquatic: large and small water bodies of the planet such as the oceans, lakes, ponds, seas and rivers. πŸ‘‡ ii) Grassland: these are usually open dominated regions with grass and a warm climate. πŸ‘‡ iii) Forest: these areas are dominated by trees and cover one-third of Earth. They contain much of the World's biodiversity. πŸ‘‡ iv) Desert: these are dry areas where rainfall is less than 50 centimeters per year. They usually have an extreme climate where day is hot and night is frigid. The biodiversity found has different features for acclimatization and adaptation. πŸ‘‡ v) Tundra:  This biome has one of the most inhospitable conditions as it has the lowest measured temperatures from among all the five biomes. Click here to learn more about it. These biomes, as per their nature, can also be further divided into specific categ...

Biomes, Biomes & Biomes! The Mystic Ecology... Department of Science: Biology and Ecology Domain of Ecology: Biomes Topics Covered: Biomes, The Formation, Classifications & Tundra πŸ‘‰ What Really Are Biomes? A biome is a large geographic biotic area characterized by its vegetation, soil, climate and wildlife. Majorly, its a community of flora and fauna that have similar and akin traits for the environment they exist in. Biomes are also called as ' Major Life Zone'   due to a very significant reason of being the planet's major scaffolding and providing the human race with innumerable benefits however unfortunately for materialistic developments mankind is polluting such exquisite and mystic ecology of Earth. Click here for its formation and classifications while we  analyze the importance of  biomes: i) Certain biomes such as the forest are home to some of the most diverse communities of flora and fauna as well as it has the most hidden potential natural medici...

The Tundra Biome Introduction: It is a type of biome where the tree growth is hindered by low temperatures and short growing seasons. The term tundra comes through Russian origin meaning "uplands", "treeless mountain tracts." It has extremely inhospitable conditions considering the lowest temperatures out of all the five biomes, ranging from -34 to 12 degrees Celsius. It has short summers and poor quality soil nutrients. Precipitation: This biome observes a total of 150 to 250mm a year, including the melted snow. This is even less than most of the deserts of the world. However, the tundra is known as wet place because the low temperatures cause evaporation of water to be quite slow and gradual. Below is a graph of a tundra in Canada with its monthly precipitation and temperatures: Soil: The tundra biome is quite adulated for its unique landscape. During the summer,  water can accumulate underground, freeze and drive the soil into a small hill called Pingo. Tundra ...
